Shazam!: Fury of the Titans is set to hit theaters next week, and while the movie looks to be bigger than the original, star Adam Brody thinks there's one thing about the second film that's just as bad as the first: the superhero suit he's wearing. The original Shazam! movie had instantly recognizable costumes and did well for its budget with a $360 million global box office. The second film, which added stars like Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu to the cast and significantly upgraded the costumes, looks even better in the trailers. Despite the costume upgrade, Brody said in an interview that Shazam's suit was "childish" because it was awkward to put on and take off. "You don't feel naked, but it's so bulky that you feel like you have a lot of stuff hanging on you," he said. He admitted that the second suit was an improvement because the first one was "more bulky and uncomfortable." He said the actors were literally freezing on the set in Toronto. In the end, Brody said, "This is the most uncomfortable working experience I've ever had." Despite this inconvenience, Brody still sees playing Shazam as his dream opportunity, as playing a superhero has always been his dream. "Shazam! Fury of the Titans" will be released on March 17, 2023. |
