Super Mario Bros. Movie Confirmed, Release Date TBD

Today (February 22), Universal Pictures’ official Weibo account announced that the game-adapted movie “Super Mario Bros.: The Movie” has been confirmed to be introduced in China. The domestic release date is yet to be determined, and the film is expected to be released in North America on April 7.

The film was produced by Nintendo and Illumination Entertainment. Chris Pratt voices Mario, Anya Taylor-Joy plays Princess Peach, Charlie Day plays Luigi, Jack Black plays Bowser, Keegan-Michael Key plays Toad, Seth Rogen plays Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen plays Kranky, Kevin Michael Richardson plays Kamek, Sebastian Manisco plays Spike, and Charles Martinez makes a cameo appearance.
