Disney has been the highest-grossing film company in the world for seven consecutive years

According to foreign media reports, Disney became the world's highest-grossing film company in 2022 with a score of US$4.9 billion (RMB 33.7 billion). This is the seventh consecutive year that Disney has topped the global box office since 2016.

Universal Pictures ranked second with $3.9 billion in global box office, and Paramount ranked third with $2 billion.

Four of the top global box office films in 2022 were released by Disney, with the following box office revenues that year: "Avatar 2" with $1.303 billion, "Doctor Strange 2" with $956 million, "Black Panther 2" with $817 million, and "Thor 4" with $761 million.

The following are the top five rankings of the North American film market in 2022 (accumulated box office in the natural year)

1. Disney: $1.93 billion (26% market share)

2. Universal Pictures: $1.64 billion (24% market share)

3. Paramount: $1.29 billion (17% market share)

4. Warner Bros.: $936 million (13% market share)

5. Sony Columbia: $844 million (11% market share)
