Mamoru Oshii's new animation "Fire Hunter" new trailer will be released on January 14

The new original animation "Fire Lords" planned and written by Mamoru Oshii and directed by Junji Nishimura will be broadcast on January 14, 2023. Today, on December 21, the official announced the second latest trailer. Let's take a sneak peek.

• "Fire Hunter" is adapted from Rieko Hyuga's fantasy novel. It tells the story of a world after the final war. The earth is covered by black forests, and humans can only survive on a small amount of land protected by barriers. Humans invaded by pathogens will burn as long as they get close to natural fire, and the only fire that can be used safely can only be collected by hunting the black monster "Elamite" that lives deep in the black forest.

Thus, a profession was born that specialized in hunting flame demons to obtain fire, and the legend of the best among them, the "Fire Hunter King", was spread. The story revolves around an 11-year-old girl named Touko who grew up in a village and a 15-year-old boy named Kirei who lives in the capital.
