The Untamed will be broadcast online in Japan on March 1, with 50 episodes released at once

According to Japanese media reports, the TV series "The Untamed", which was previously popular abroad and adapted from the famous Chinese BL novel "The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation", will be broadcast exclusively online on Japan's U-NEXT streaming media on March 1, and all 50 episodes will be released at once.

Previously, "The Untamed" was broadcast on YouTube in the summer of 2019, and later official English subtitles were launched. It was broadcast on Netflix at the end of 2019. It was so popular abroad that it even broke the circle. The famous foreign game media GameSpot even published an article saying that "The Untamed" was a perfect carnival during the epidemic isolation. This Chinese fantasy drama swept the Internet like a storm.

GameSpot editors said in the article that what makes "The Untamed" so special is not just because it is broadcast for free on the Internet platform, but also because the macro story, the core characters themselves, their profound meanings and extremely complex relationships have touched the audience.

The Untamed is a costume fantasy drama co-directed by Zheng Weiwen and Chen Jialin, starring Xiao Zhan, Wang Yibo, Meng Ziyi, Xuan Lu, Wang Zhuocheng, Yu Bin, Liu Haikuan, Zhu Zanjin, and Wang Haoxuan, with special appearances by Li Ruotong, Lu Jianmin, Huang Ziteng, and Xiu Qing, and a friendly guest appearance by Shen Xiaohai.

The drama is adapted from the novel "The Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation" by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. It is set against the background of the five major families and tells the story of Wei Wuxian, the son of an old friend of the Yunmeng Jiang family, and Lan Wangji, the Lord of Hanguang of the Gusu Lan family, who meet again and work together to explore the truth of the past and protect the peace and happiness of the people.
