Death Stranding will be adapted into a movie and will introduce new elements and characters

According to a recent report by Deadline, "Death Stranding" will be adapted into a movie, and Kojima Studio will work with Hammerstone Studio to produce it. The movie will introduce new elements and characters into the Death Stranding universe.

Hammerstone Studios is Alex Lebovici's film company. The film is fully financed by Hammerstone, with Hideo Kojima and Alex Lebovici serving as producers, and Kojima Productions America and Allan Ungar serving as executive producers.

“I’m excited about my new partnership with Hammerstone Studios,” said Hideo Kojima. “This is a pivotal moment for the Death Stranding series, and I’m very much looking forward to working with them to bring Death Stranding to the big screen.”

Lebovici also said: "We are excited and honored to have the opportunity to work with the talented Hideo Kojima on his first film adaptation. Unlike other big-budget game adaptations, this movie will be more down-to-earth. Our goal is to redefine what a game adaptation movie can be like when you have creative and artistic freedom. This movie will be an authentic Hideo Kojima work."
