Cameron is unable to attend the Los Angeles premiere of Avatar 2 due to COVID-19

"Avatar 2: The Path of Water" will be released worldwide on December 14. Recently, director Cameron also flew around the world to promote the movie. Unfortunately, he was infected with the new coronavirus and was unable to attend the Los Angeles premiere of "Avatar 2" in person.

Cameron said: "First of all, I want to apologize to everyone that I can't participate in this grand event. Recently, I have been promoting "Avatar 2" around the world. After flying back to the United States from Tokyo, Japan, I felt a little heavy. After testing, I found that I was infected with the new coronavirus."

According to industry insiders, Cameron has no symptoms and feels fine. Nevertheless, it is unsafe for him to attend the premiere and risk infecting others or worsening his condition. A Disney spokesperson also confirmed this, saying that Cameron is in good health and will participate in the premiere of "Avatar 2" via video link.
