CD Projekt Red has confirmed that another Cyberpunk 2077 adaptation will be released on streaming platform Netflix. “I’m also pleased to announce that we are working on another animated project based in the Cyberpunk universe that will be released on Netflix,” CDPR CFO Piotr Nielubowicz said during the company’s earnings presentation on Tuesday. Netflix previously released a trailer for a new Cyberpunk project in September, but CDPR did not officially announce the new project before the recent meeting. However, at the meeting, the studio did not announce other details of the project, but it is expected to be released in the next few weeks or next month. "Cyberpunk: Edgewalker", which was previously produced by the studio in collaboration with the famous Japanese animation studio Studio Trigger, has received a lot of praise and has largely helped promote the reputation of "Cyberpunk 2077" and the hot sales of subsequent DLC. In addition to the new animated series, CDPR is also developing a sequel to the game. Called "Project Orion", the project currently has 64 employees (close to 10% of the company's total employees) involved in the development. The new "Cyberpunk" game is planned to be released after the new "Polaris Project" of the "Witcher" series. |
