Daniel Craig prefers playing a detective in Knives Out to playing 007

Daniel Craig played 007 for 15 years, but he was clearly happier in the Knives Out movies.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Craig's co-star Dave "The Destroyer" Bautista, who stars in Knives Out 2, explained why Craig prefers solving mysteries.

"He was really tested a lot in Bond," Bautista said. "You could sense that he was under a lot of pressure. He didn't seem like the happiest guy in Bond, but in Glass Onion it was the complete opposite."

Dave Bautista starred opposite Craig in the 2015 Bond film Spectre, playing the villainous organization's top assassin. After filming many scenes with Craig, he has undoubtedly seen the impact that playing James Bond has had on him.

“He’s so funny, he’s always smiling, happy, and more interactive,” Bautista said. “In Spectre, there wasn’t a lot of interaction between the actors. But with Glass Onion it was the complete opposite. We were always together. So, I got to know him more as a person and how he does things.”
