"Lord of the Rings" series protests racism: Middle-earth is not all white

According to foreign media Variey, in response to the "bad reviews" and "racial discrimination" comments after the broadcast of "The Lord of the Rings: The Power of the Rings", Amazon officially issued a statement protesting racism on behalf of the actors of "The Power of the Rings", ending with the "Namarie" sung by Galadriel when the Fellowship of the Ring left Lórien and embarked on their journey.

"We, the cast of The Lord of the Rings, stand united in our fight against the relentless racism that some of our cast members of colour face every day, and we will never ignore or condone it," the statement said.

"Tolkien created a diverse world where people of different cultures and races united to defeat evil. The Rings of Power reflects that. Our world is not all white, fantasy is not all white, and Middle-earth is not all white. BIPOC belong in Middle-earth, and they are here to stay."

"Finally, thank you to the fans who support us, especially the people of color who have also been attacked for being in this team. We have seen your creativity and courage. Your role-playing and artistic creations have enriched our fan community. You are welcome and loved. You belong here. You are an integral part of the Lord of the Rings family. Thank you for supporting us."

The Hobbit trio Elijah Wood, Dominic Monaghan and Billy Lloyd, who starred in the "Lord of the Rings" movie, also expressed their support through social media. They wore T-shirts with ear patterns of different skin colors and races and the Elvish language "You are all welcome here" to support "The Lord of the Rings: The Power Ring".
