At the San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel announced the production plan for Phase 6 of the MCU. Phase 6 of the MCU will begin with the Fantastic Four movie and end with two new Avengers movies, Avengers: Reign of Kang and Avengers: Secret Wars. Marvel also confirmed that Phase 6 will complete the second saga of the MCU, now officially named the "Multiverse Saga." Marvel Studios' Fantastic Four film will hit theaters on November 8, 2024, followed by Avengers: Reign of Assassins on May 2, 2025, and then Avengers: Secret Wars just six months later on November 7, 2025. The overall name of Marvel's Phase 1-3 is "Infinity Saga", and now Phase 4-6 is "Multiverse Saga". Marvel announced today that Phase 4 will end with "She-Hulk" and "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever", which means that Phase 5 projects will be between November 2022 and November 2024. The end of Phase 5 will be marked by the release of the new super villain starring movie "Thunderbolt" in the summer of 2024. Kang the Conqueror in the title of "Avengers 5" has appeared in the previously aired "Loki" TV series and will also appear in "Ant-Man 3: Quantum Tide". John Krasinski, who has been highly anticipated by fans, finally plays Mr. Fantastic in "Doctor Strange 2", but Marvel has not yet announced the actor for Mr. Fantastic in the new "Fantastic Four" film. |
