The new film directed by Star Wars 9 is revealed to be a supernatural western thriller

JJ Abrams, director of Episode VII and Episode IX, is moving from outer space to the Wild West.

Abrams' company Bad Robot signed a $250 million deal with Warner Bros. last year for movies, TV series and video games, and it looks like the first film under the deal will be a supernatural thriller set in the American West called The Pinkerton.

There are currently few details about this film. The leading actors, release date, etc. have not been finalized and it is still in the early stages.

Although the official description of the film is kept secret, according to foreign media The Hollywood Reporter and Deadline, the film will be a combination of supernatural and western revenge stories.

The film is likely to be related to the Pinkerton Detective Agency, a real private detective agency in history. The Pinkerton Detective Agency played a very important role in the law enforcement of the American West in the 19th century. The US government hired Pinkerton agents to hunt down criminals. Pinkerton still exists today, and they sued Rockstar last year. In Rockstar's "Red Dead Redemption 2", the Pinkerton Detective Agency is the main villain organization in the game. The reason Rockstar was sued was that they used their name in the game without permission.

Daniel Casey, the screenwriter of "Fast & Furious 9", has joined the cast. He had previously worked with JJ Abrams on "10 Cloverfield Lane" and helped rewrite the script.

Bad Robot's latest big production is the third season of the HBO series Westworld, which premieres later this month.
