Thor 4 has grossed over $300 million worldwide, with a production cost of $250 million

"Thor 4: Love and Thunder" grossed $302 million worldwide in its first weekend, achieving a "victory worthy of the gods."

According to Variety, "Thor 4" earned $143 million in North America and $159 million overseas.

Although Thor 4's opening performance was lower than domestic expectations ($150 million), its performance was still good, surpassing 2017's Thor 3 ($123 million in its first weekend), and only lower than Jurassic World 3 and Doctor Strange 2, which had first weekend box office of $145 million and $185 million respectively.

It is reported that the production cost of "Thor 4" is as high as 250 million US dollars, and the publicity and promotion costs are 100 million US dollars, so the box office of 300 million US dollars in the first weekend has almost recovered the investment.

Last week, Top Gun 2 ranked third in the domestic box office in the United States, which was released for the seventh weekend, earning another $15.5 million. Currently, Top Gun 2 has a domestic box office of $597 million in the United States and a global box office of $1.18 billion.
