In an interview with the Los Angeles Times, Natley Portman expressed optimism about starring in future Marvel movies. Portman praised director Taika Waititi for disregarding any rules that comic book movies should have, especially the flexibility he gave the character of Jane, noting that her take on the hero was very much "a feminist take on the character." As for where Portman could take on the role of the Mighty Thor in the future, she said she would be willing to come back to reprise the role if the right opportunity presented itself. "I'm open to anything. It's a really cool role and I feel like anything is possible." In the view of director Waititi, the character of Jane Foster will not replace Hemsworth's Thor. "I feel like a lot of fans see this as the passing of the torch, and I don't know what Marvel's plans are for the future, but I don't think that's the case." |
