Captain America 4 director confirmed to have directed The Cloverfield Paradox

The director of Captain America 4 has been confirmed, and it will be directed by Nigerian-American director Julius Onah, who has directed films such as The Cloverfield Paradox and Luce. Captain America 4 will be his first MCU film.

Anthony Mackie plays the role of "Falcon" Sam Wilson, who once again picks up Captain America's shield after "Avengers 4: Endgame" and "Falcon and the Winter Soldier", opening a new chapter.

Malcom Spellman, screenwriter of "Falcon and the Winter Soldier", and Dalan Musson, a full-time screenwriter, are writing the script for "Captain America 4". It is not yet certain whether the Winter Soldier and the former Captain America will return.

Mackie made his MCU debut in 2014's Captain America: Civil War, playing the role of Falcon Sam Wilson. As Steve Rogers aged in Avengers 4, Falcon officially took over the shield in last year's episode The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, becoming the new Captain America.

Marvel Studios has confirmed its participation in the San Diego Comic-Con, and more news is expected to be announced at that time.
