Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft star Hayley Atwell says she would love to reprise her role as the treasure-hunting archaeologist, either in a second season of the Netflix series or in a completely different project. "It's an absolute dream for me to continue to be involved in (Lara Croft's story) or be involved in it in another way, and she's so beloved and so well-known, it's a responsibility I take seriously..." Atwell said. "She's always been relevant, and that's exciting for me." Atwell, who showed off her action chops in last year's Mission: Impossible - Deadly Reckoning, also cited her experience working on the first season of Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft as a key reason why she's excited to return for more globetrotting adventures. Hayley Atwell “I’m having so much fun doing this with this creative team. I’m loving working with (director Meredith Lane) and (showrunner Tasha Ho), and having Netflix behind it. It feels like a high-quality animation, and they really want to get it right emotionally. I would definitely be honored to continue it in some way, or have Laura appear in my life in a different capacity.” All eight episodes of Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft are now available on Netflix. |
