Wong Jing bought the copyright of "Along the World" and Louis Koo and Nicholas Tse may star in it

In recent years, Wong Jing has remade many classics. Following "The Heaven Sword and Dragon Saber" and "Demi-Gods and Semi-Devils Part Two: The Legend of Qiao Feng", there have been rumors recently that director Wong Jing will remake the movie "A Chinese Odyssey" directed by John Woo. The roles of Chow Yun-fat and Leslie Cheung in the original film will be played by Louis Koo and Nicholas Tse, while Ni Ni is intended to be invited to play the role of Cherie Chung.

Hong Kong media sought confirmation from Wong Jing, Nicholas Tse and Louis Koo. Wong Jing admitted that he had bought the copyright, but did not reveal any details, only saying "because it is next year, we will talk about it later." Nicholas Tse's agent Mani Fok said: "No one has taken the role for the time being."

Although the cast list has not been finalized, the film's behind-the-scenes team has already confirmed that Wong Jing will be the producer, and the director will be Man Wai-hong, who has filmed classic Hong Kong dramas such as "Greedy Destiny", "The Creation of the Dynasty" and "The Brink of Law".

"A Chinese Odyssey" was released in 1991, starring Chow Yun-fat, Cherie Chung and Leslie Cheung. The partnership of these three popular artists at the time became a legend, with a box office revenue of 34 million. It still has high ratings on many mainstream platforms in mainland China.
