Two actors killed in car accident on set of Netflix series

According to foreign media reports, last Thursday, June 16, local time, a car accident occurred on the set of Netflix's new comic-based drama "The Chosen One". A truck carrying crew members crashed, ran off the road and overturned, killing two actors and injuring six crew members.

The incident occurred on a desert road near Mulege on Mexico's Baja California Sur peninsula, while the show was being filmed in nearby Santa Rosalia.

The two actors who died in the car accident were Raymundo Garduño Cruz and Juan Francisco González Aguilar. According to media reports, the other six injured included two actors and four crew members, all of whom are currently in stable condition.

Afterwards, the local official Ministry of Culture issued an obituary to express condolences for the death of Raymondo and Juan in the car accident. At present, Netflix has not yet issued any comments or responses to the car accident.

The series is based on the comic book series "Chosen" (later renamed "American Jesus") by Mark Miller and Peter Gross, and tells the story of a 12-year-old boy who learns that he is the reincarnation of Jesus and is destined to save humanity. The series was shot by an independent production company Redrum, and filming has been suspended.
