Today, June 15th, Shogakukan announced the winners of the Children's Division Award of the 90th Newcomer Manga Award. The 13-year-old cartoonist Kobayashi Yusei won the grand prize, sparking heated discussions. One of the judges, a senior cartoonist, praised him as a true genius.

•The "Newcomer Manga Award" is a long-established award organized by Shogakukan to discover outstanding new cartoonists. It is divided into three categories: children's department, girls and women's department, and boys' department. The winning new cartoonists can not only obtain Shogakukan's resource support, but also receive considerable bonuses. It can be said to be one of the best ways for the Japanese comics industry to make a breakthrough.
