Mad Max 4 prequel film has officially started filming

The prequel to Mad Max 4: Fury Road, Mad Max: Furiosa, has officially started filming. Furiosa comes from the character Imperator Furiosa made famous by Charlize Theron in the 2015 movie Mad Max 4. The film will be released on May 24, 2024, telling the origin story of the character Imperator Furiosa.

Chris Hemsworth, one of the film's leading actors, shared a photo on social media with the caption "A new journey of the Mad Max legend begins." Chris Hemsworth will star in this film with Anya Taylor-Joy.

Director George Miller called the sequel a "legend" that spans 15 years, while the previous film only spanned three days.

2015's "Mad Max 4" grossed nearly $400 million worldwide and won six Oscars.

Director George Miller is also rumored to be interested in making a sequel centered around Tom Hardy's Mad Max.
