Chris Hemsworth to star in live-action version of Prince Charming

According to foreign media reports, Chris Hemsworth is in talks to play the leading role in Disney's live-action movie "Prince Charming". Disney is preparing the film with Paul King, the director of "Wonka", and King will co-write the script with Simon Barnaby and Jon Crocker.

Disney has brought many live-action princess movies to the screen. In Disney's stories, the Prince Charming is the one who saves the damsel in distress from the evil force (stepmother), but his life background is never described in detail in the film. The hero in many fairy tales is regarded as Prince Charming, including "Snow White" and "Sleeping Beauty", but his true origin is "Cinderella". In order to set off the heroine, these characters are generally handsome and romantic. In most cases, they are seen as a reward given to the heroine, rather than as a main character.

Although the details of the film have not been revealed yet, there is a huge space for the development of Prince Charming. They may choose to tell the growth process of the prince before he met the princess or the emotional story after he met his beloved princess, or even tell the marriage life of the prince and princess.

However, it is still unknown whether Chris Hemsworth will take on the role. He is currently filming the new crime film "Criminal 101" with Mark Ruffalo.
