Amazon's Fallout TV series has a second cast member, according to a new Variety report. British actress Ella Purnell will play the lead role in the series. She previously voiced Jinx in the League of Legends animated series The Battle of Two Cities. Details about Purnell's role have not been revealed yet, but according to sources, the character will be someone who is "optimistic and direct, with an all-American can-do spirit" (although a British actor). In addition to her, the first cast of the series, Walton Goggins, has also been announced, and will play a ghoul character. In addition to his voice work on Two Cities, Purnell has also appeared in the acclaimed American TV series Yellowjackets, voiced the animated series Star Trek: Prodigy on Nickelodeon, and starred in Zack Snyder's 2021 zombie film Army of the Dead. Production on the live-action TV adaptation of Fallout is expected to begin sometime this year, but a release date has not yet been announced. |
