The movie "New Blade" was postponed indefinitely after many main creators left

Today (October 23), Disney employees revealed to Deadline that the film "Blade" starring Mahershala Ali has been postponed indefinitely. The release date of the film has been postponed many times-originally scheduled to be released at the end of 2023, the latest release date of the film is November 7, 2025. Over the years, five screenwriters and two directors have left the project.

In June of this year, The Hollywood Reporter published a report about the troubled production of Blade, which had been significantly slowed down due to the impact of the new crown epidemic and management's focus on Disney+ content.

The original "Blade" is an action thriller produced by New Line Cinema, directed by Stephen Norrington, and co-starred by Wesley Snipes, Stephen Dorff, and Kris Kristofferson. The film was released in the United States on August 21, 1998. The film is adapted from Marvel Comics and tells the story of a black man with vampire genes fighting against various vampires, zombies and other monsters in order to protect humans.
