"Sword Art Online" new movie and visual image announced, to be released in autumn 2022

Today (March 23, 2022), the official Sword Art Online announced the latest theatrical version "Sword Art Online - Progressive - Skelzo of Dark Twilight" on Twitter. The film is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2022. This work is the sequel to "Sword Art Online - Progressive - Aria of the Starless Night" released in 2021. The official also released the official visual images of the protagonists Kirito and Asuna. Like the previous work, this work will be directed by Ayako Kono, Kento Totani will be responsible for character design and animation director, Yuki Kajiura will be responsible for the music, and the production company will be A-1 Pictures. The original work "Sword Art Online: Progressive" is a light novel written by Kawahara Reki, which mainly describes the large plot that was skipped in the original "Sword Art Online" first work "Aincrad". The first part was published in 2012, and the 8th volume is currently on sale. |
