"Godzilla vs. King Kong" will have a sequel and will start filming in the second half of this year

According to foreign media Variety, the sequel to "Godzilla vs. Kong" will start filming in Australia in the second half of this year, with the filming locations located in the local Gold Coast and southeast Queensland. Previously, "King Kong: Skull Island" and "Godzilla vs. Kong" were filmed here.

It is reported that the local filming of this unnamed sequel will employ more than 500 local actors and crew members, as well as more than 750 extras, and is expected to bring more than $88 million in revenue to the local economy.

Godzilla vs. Kong was released in various parts of the world in March 2021, with a total global box office of $468 million and a North American box office of $101 million, which was a great success compared to the earliest expectations. According to previous reports, Adam Wingard, the director of Godzilla vs. Kong, may return to direct the new version of Son of Kong.
