Disney+ to invest $33 billion in Korean dramas this year, plans to produce more than 20

According to Sina Entertainment, the head of Disney+ recently said that this year it will invest $33 billion in Korean dramas, which is twice the amount of Netflix's $17 billion, and it is expected to produce more than 20 Korean film and television content.

Disney+ discovered that their investment in Korean dramas in Asia was greater than their investment in TV dramas in other languages. After research, they found that Korean dramas are very well-known and popular in Southeast Asia and North Asia, so they made this decision.
