IMAX movies have grossed $10 billion

Today (March 21), according to foreign media Deadline, IMAX recently announced that its cumulative box office has exceeded 10 billion US dollars (including narrative and non-documentary).

IMAX, a movie projection system with a giant screen as its symbol, was originally a documentary projection platform in science museums and other places. Starting with the re-screening of "Apollo 13" in 2002, IMAX transformed into film post-production and began to cooperate with Hollywood film companies. Today, there are IMAX screens in theaters in 85 countries around the world, with a total of more than 1,664 screens.

Many movies will be shown on IMAX screens in theaters or shot in IMAX format. The latest Hollywood blockbuster "Batman" released worldwide has currently grossed nearly 600 million yuan worldwide, including 47.6 million US dollars in IMAX box office. In the first week in mainland China, 440 IMAX screens showed the film, with a box office of 2 million US dollars.
