Today (March 8), Richard Linklater’s new live-action, hand-painted + CG animation film "Apollo 10½: A Space Age Adventure" released a trailer and will be available on Netflix on April 1. Trailer for Apollo 10½: A Space Age Adventure: The film's story was inspired by Linklater's childhood experience in Houston, Texas in the 1960s. The plot is described as "telling the story of the first human landing on the moon in the summer of 1969 from two intertwined perspectives, focusing on the astronauts and mission control center at that jubilant moment, and another bottom-up, little-known perspective: a child who lived near NASA but watched it with millions of other people basically on TV. The film is both a rigorous recreation of that special historical moment and the fantasy of a child living an ordinary life in the suburbs about boarding a secret train and participating in the moon landing mission." The film is divided into live-action and animation production parts, with actors including Zachary Levi, Jack Black, Glen Powell, Josh Wiggins, Milo Coy, Lee Eddy, Bill Wise, Natalie L'Amoreaux, Jessica Brynn Cohen, Sam Chipman, Danielle Guilbot and others.
