According to The Hollywood Reporter, Showtime's anthology series "Hot Smoke" is about to return for a second season, which will be about Facebook, focusing on the relationship between founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg and COO Sheryl Sandberg. The upcoming Uber-focused first season will include some big-name actors — Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Uber founder Travis Kalanick, Kyle Chandler as venture capitalist Bill Gurley, and Uma Thurman as Arianna Huffington. One has to wonder who will be chosen to play Zuckerberg and Sandberg in season two. The relationship between the two Facebook (now Meta) leaders looks set to form the basis of the next season, with Entertainment Weekly reporting that the second season will be subtitled "Shelly and Mark." If the 2021 New York Times article about Zuckerberg and Sandberg goes anywhere, there could be a lot of potential material to include. Season 1 of "Hot Shots," which premieres on February 27, is based on the New York Times bestseller of the same name by Mike Isaac. Season 2 is also based on another book written by Isaac, although the book has not yet been published. |
