Disney CEO Bob Chapek announced during today's earnings call that the original Obi-Wan series will premiere on Disney+ on May 25. The Obi-Wan spinoff will follow the venerable Jedi Master during his exile on Tatooine, and while little is known about the series, rumors say it will include a new confrontation with Darth Vader. In addition to the live-action series, Disney recently announced a comic book with five stories that will feature Obi-Wan, set at different moments in his life. The screenwriter is Christopher Cantwell (Iron Man) and drawn by Ario Anindito (Star Wars: The High Republic). The first issue will be published in May 2022, just in time for the live-action series of Obi-Wan. |
