'The Walking Dead' spinoff 'Tales from the Walking Dead' announces new cast

Terry Crews, Parker Posey, Jillian Bell, Anthony Edwards and Lyubo are set to star in AMC's new six-episode series The Walking Dead, which is set to premiere this summer after nearly a year in the making.

Scott M. Gimple, former producer of The Walking Dead, said: "Anthony, Gillian, Parker and Liu Bo are the first wave of acting talents we have invited to expand the Walking Dead universe. They will expand this universe into new areas of grief, absurdity, sincerity and horror. We are very happy that they can join this big family and work with the directors together."

The six episodes of The Walking Dead will be six independent stories, telling the stories of existing and new characters in the zombie apocalypse. Details of the roles that these new actors will play have not yet been announced.

In addition, the second of the four-part final season of The Walking Dead will be aired on February 20. Production of multiple Walking Dead movies centered around Rick (Andrew Lincoln) will also be accelerated in 2022.
