New Batman movie gets PG13 rating, but will still have violence

The new Batman movie starring Robert Pattinson has attracted a lot of attention from Batman fans and DC fans after the trailer was released. The fighting scenes in the trailer and the overall darker style made many fans think that the new movie will be rated R (18 years and above). But now it seems that the new movie will not have foul language and excessive violence, because the movie has been rated PG-13 (13 years and above).

According to the MPA ratings association, the film still contains "strong violence and disturbing content, references to drugs, strong language and some suggestive content."

According to sources close to the filming, the reason why the more "realistic" Batman movie is rated PG-13 instead of R is that it will not contain a lot of foul language or nudity, although it will still feature plenty of action. The previous Batman movie, Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, was also rated PG-13.

From a box office perspective, the difference between a PG-13 and an R rating could be tens of millions of dollars, although the R rating on the Joker movie didn't stop it from making crazy profits.
