The movie version of the campus romance manga "Senior is a Boy" was released on Valentine's Day 2025

The campus romance comic "My Senior is a Boy" created by Pom was serialized on the comic platform "LINE Comics" from December 7, 2019 to December 30, 2021, and won the "Anime Japan 2022 Most Wanted Comic First Prize".

The comic was officially announced to be animated in 2023, and 12 episodes will be broadcast in July 2024. Recently, the official announced the production of the new theater version of "Senior is a Boy, Rain or Shine", and released a preview, and announced that it will be released first in Japan on February 14, 2025, which is Valentine's Day.

It is understood that the theatrical version will be produced by project No.9, directed by Nobuaki Yanagi, the script will be coordinated by Yoshiko Tomita, the character design will be done by Shoto Shinkai, and the music will be composed by Yukari Hashimoto. In terms of voice actors, Shuichiro Umeda will voice the protagonist Makoto Hanaoka, and Akira Sekine will voice the heroine Saki Aoi.

The original story of "Senior is a Boy" tells the story of the protagonist Makoto Hanaoka, who has a special liking for cute things and lives in high school as a girl. One day after school, a junior schoolmate Saki Aoi, who has always been mistaken for a girl, suddenly confesses to him. Faced with the affectionate confession of the junior schoolmate, Makoto tells her frankly: "Actually, I am a boy." However, this rejection did not make Saki back off, and thus unfolded a touching story about love, friendship and growth.
