Miramax Studios files lawsuit against director Quentin over NFTs

Miramax Studios files lawsuit against director Quentin over NFTs

Previously, we reported that director Quentin Tarantino planned to auction the "Pulp Fiction" themed NFT in November. Recently, Miramax Studios, which owns most of the copyrights to the movie "Pulp Fiction", plans to file a lawsuit against director Quentin Tarantino over the matter.

The head of Miramax Studios said that we warned Quentin when he announced the sale of Pulp Fiction, but he did not respond. The head emphasized that according to the contract, Pulp Fiction director Quentin Tarantino only has the right to publish scripts, film adaptation books, soundtracks, sequels and remakes, while the production and distribution of NFTs related to the film is the right of the film studio.

Director Quentin's lawyer disagreed with the accusation made by the head of Miramax Studios and said that Quentin did not violate the regulations. He just released the script in the form of NFT, which was no different from the normal release of the script.
