Paddington Bear 4th movie in the works, TV series of the same name to be released

Paddington Bear, a classic character from British children's literature in 1958, has spawned many derivative works. Its third live-action film, "Paddington Bear 3: Peruvian Adventure", will be released in the UK on November 8, 2024, and in North America on January 17, 2025.

Recently, StudioCanal CEO Françoise Guyonnet revealed at a keynote speech event: "We are also producing a new TV series (of Paddington Bear) and a new movie, which is expected to be released in 2027 or 2028."

The first Paddington Bear movie, released in 2014, earned $268 million at the box office with a budget of $55 million, which was a huge success. And Paddington Bear 2, released in 2017, also received a 100% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, proving that this will be a successful series.

Along with StudioCanal's keynote event, further plans for the studio were outlined, with the studio also stating that it hopes to "transform 'Paddington Bear' from a classic character into a global cultural phenomenon".
