Dune 2 will start filming in July next year and will be released in October 2023

"Dune 2" is scheduled to officially start filming on July 18, 2022, and will be released in North America on October 20, 2023. Director, screenwriter and producer Denis Villeneuve and composer Hans Zimmer will all return.

Dune 2 is currently under intense preparation. According to the director, Dune 1 laid the foundation for the world view, and the second part is to "show off and have fun." Timothée Chalamet will continue to play Paul Atreides, and Zendaya's role as Chini will be increased.

Dune has grossed 263 million yuan in mainland China, equivalent to 36.8 million U.S. dollars, making it the film's largest overseas box office. Dune has grossed 330 million U.S. dollars worldwide, surpassing Player (323 million U.S. dollars) and ranking 10th on the annual global box office list.
