Dungeons & Dragons live-action movie delayed to May 2022

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many Paramount Pictures films have been postponed. According to Deadline, the Dungeons & Dragons reboot, originally scheduled to be released on July 23, 2021, has also been postponed to May 27, 2022.

"Dungeons & Dragons" was originally a tabletop game, and later spawned related products such as books, online games and movies. It has a huge fan base around the world. The series launched a live-action movie in 2000, starring Jeremy Irons, and two sequels were filmed in 2005 and 2012.

Paramount's reboot of the live-action "Dungeons & Dragons" movie is directed by Rob Letterman, produced by Roy Lee and Courtney Solomon who previously worked on "How to Train Your Dragon", and written by David Leslie Johnson of "Little Red Riding Hood" and "Clash of the Titans 2".
