The new Ghibli film "Aya and the Witch" will be released in Taiwan on November 12

Today (November 1), Ghibli's first full-length 3DCG animated film "Aya and the Witch" released a Chinese version trailer with Taiwanese Mandarin dubbing. The film will be released in Taiwan on November 12 and was previously released in Japan on August 27.

"Aya and the Witch" was planned by Hayao Miyazaki and directed by Goro Miyazaki. It was adapted from the novel of the same name by Diana Wynne Jones, the original author of "Howl's Moving Castle", and was shortlisted for the "Cannes 2020" film list. It tells the story of the protagonist Aya who is unaware of her identity as the "daughter of a witch". One day, she was adopted by a strange family and began to live with a bad-hearted witch.
