John Woo returns to Hollywood to direct new action film "Silent Night"

According to foreign media Deadline, 75-year-old John Woo returns to Hollywood and will direct a dialogue-free American action film "Silent Night", starring Joel Kinnaman ("The Suicide Squad"). The story tells about an ordinary father who enters the underworld world because of his son's death and wants revenge. The project has recently appeared at the AFM Film and Television Exhibition.

This is the first time John Woo has directed an American film in more than ten years. Prior to this, he directed films such as "Face/Off" and "Mission Impossible 2" in Hollywood. His last Hollywood action blockbuster was "Memento Mobili" in 2003.
