Oscar-winning foreign language film "Departures" is scheduled to be released in China on October 29

"Departures," a classic film directed by Yojiro Takita and which won the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film, has released a release trailer, posters and stills. The 4K restored version will be released in mainland China on October 29.

"Departures" is starring Masahiro Motoki and Ryoko Hirosue, with music by Joe Hisaishi. It tells a healing story about cellist Daigo Kobayashi who leaves Tokyo and returns to his hometown after losing his job due to the disbandment of his band, and starts working as a undertaker by chance.
