DC's new film "Batgirl" begins casting for the heroine of "Transformers 5"

DC's new solo movie "Batgirl" has begun looking for the lead actor. Deadline reported that Zoey Deutch ("Suddenly"), Isabella Merced ("Transformers 5"), and Leslie Grace ("In the Heights") will participate in the audition. The report also said that Haley Lu Richardson ("Five Feet Apart") was also heard, but she may have withdrawn before the audition.

The film will be directed by Adil El Arbi & Bilal Fallah (Bad Boys for Life), with the script written by Christina Hodson (Bumblebee, Birds of Prey), and is scheduled to be released on HBO Max.

This project has been in operation for many years. Joss Whedon served as director and screenwriter, but left in 2018 after a year of development. Many characters in the comics have used the title of Batgirl, the most famous of which is Barbara Gordon, the protagonist of this film. She is the daughter of Commissioner Gordon, has no superpowers, is good at fighting, is also a computer expert, and has all kinds of cool auxiliary equipment like Batman.
