The famous actor Ian McKellen has played Magneto in the "X-Men" film series and Gandalf in the "Lord of the Rings" film series, and is deeply loved by the audience. Recently, McLean revealed in an interview with the foreign media "Big Issue" that someone has invited him to return to the new live-action "Lord of the Rings" film "Hunt for Gollum" directed by Andy Serkis, and play the role of Gandalf in it. "The enthusiasm for 'Lord of the Rings' shows no sign of waning," McKellen said when asked about it. "I can't tell you more than that. I just heard there are going to be more films and Gandalf is going to be in the cast and they want me to play him [again]." However, McLean also added that the film is still in the early stages of creation and there is not even a script yet: "When? I don't know. What is the script? It's not written yet. So, they'd better hurry up." McKellen recently fell during a performance in London's West End, injuring his arm and ribs, and is currently recovering. But his new film "The Critic" will be released this month. I hope he can fully recover when "The Hunt for Gollum" starts filming, and once again bring the audience the classic screen image of Gandalf. |
