The appeal and reviews of "Stitch!: The Mischievous Alien's Big Adventure"

"Stitch!: The Mischievous Alien's Big Adventure" is a TV anime series that was broadcast on TV Asahi and 24 other ANN affiliates from October 13, 2009 to June 29, 2010. This is an original anime series that depicts a new adventure starring Disney's popular character Stitch. Below, we will introduce the appeal and reviews of this series, as well as related information.

story

Stitch is caught in a space storm and crash lands on Izayoi Island, the southernmost island in Japan. There, Stitch hears from Yuna, a girl from the island, the legend of the "Chitama Stone," which is said to grant any wish. Stitch is excited to obtain the "universe's greatest power" himself. However, there is a condition that he must do 43 good deeds to have his wish granted. Thus begins Stitch's new life on Izayoi Island.

The story depicts the various troubles and adventures that occur in the process of Stitch accumulating good deeds, and it is fascinating to see how he grows through his interactions with characters such as Yuna, Professor Jumba, and Pleakley. In particular, the climate and culture of Izayoi Island are deeply connected to the story, and the nature and traditions of Okinawa are beautifully depicted.

character

The charm of this work lies in the characters. The main character, Stitch, is the 626th prototype created by Professor Jumba. He is an alien with supercomputer-level thinking, excellent night vision, sharp senses of smell and hearing, and superhuman strength. He ends up living with Yuna on Izayoi Island as part of her family, and tries to do good things in order to have the Chitama Stone grant his wish, but Stitch doesn't know the difference between good and bad. He causes trouble everywhere.

Yuna is a lively fourth grade elementary school student who lives on Izayoi Island. Her father is an oceanographer, so she lives with her grandmother (Obaaa). Her special skill is karate, and she inherited the Chitama-ryu Karate Dojo from her grandfather, where she teaches students as a teacher. She accepts Stitch, who suddenly appears from space, as a member of the family (ohana) with the heart of "Ichariba Chode" (once we meet, we're brothers).

Professor Jumba is a self-proclaimed evil genius scientist and the creator of Stitch. He comes to Izayoi Island with Pleakley in search of Stitch, who was caught in a space storm. He was planning to return to the planet Turow with Stitch, but he was fascinated by the unknown power of the "Chitama Stone" and decided to stay on the island to investigate.

Pleakley is an intelligence agent for the Galactic Federation and a self-proclaimed expert on Earth. While on a planetary bio-exploration expedition, he was stranded on a moon and was rescued by Jumba by chance, and joined him in his search for Stitch. When Pleakley arrived on Izayoi Island, he was fascinated by the mysteries of the island and looked up to the island's walking encyclopedia, Obaa-san, as his mentor. He is a big fan of the island's traditional costumes and fruit.

Obaa is Yuna's grandmother, and is knowledgeable about the island's traditional customs and natural phenomena, and is skilled at playing the sanshin (three-stringed instrument). She is friends with all kinds of monsters and spirits, not just on Izayoi Island, but in the world as well.

Kijimuna is a boy yokai who lives under the banyan tree on Izayoi Island and is considered the most powerful yokai on the island, but he is actually timid and withdrawn. He is a character who usually does not come outside the forest.
