While trying to save Charo, his beloved owner Shota falls off the river bank and is seriously injured, nearly dying. Charo nurses him back to health. Then a mysterious birdman appears and drags Shota's soul into a dark hole.
Charo chases Shota into the hole and arrives at the Middle World, a world between life and death.
