Mitsudomoe - Mitsudomoe - Review

"Mitsudomoe" is a TV anime series based on the popular comic by Norio Sakurai, which aired from July 3 to September 25, 2010. This work is a short comedy that depicts the outrageous daily lives of the Marui triplets, Mitsuba, Futaba, and Hitoha. Their unique characters and humorous storyline provide viewers with plenty of laughs.

First, let's take a look at the Marui triplets. The eldest sister, Mitsuba, is a sadist who behaves like a queen, but she also cares for her younger sisters. The second sister, Futaba, is a friendly and innocent character with excellent athletic ability and a strong passion for breasts. The third sister, Hito, is a mysterious girl who is gloomy and avoids relationships with others, and loves pornographic books, special effects programs, and hamster nipples. The slapstick comedy woven by these triplets entertains viewers with unpredictable developments every episode.

The story of the anime is structured as a standalone short comedy for each episode. The first episode, "The Marui Family! Good Kids, Naughty Kids, Scary Kids!!," introduces the triplets' personalities all at once, letting viewers know just how outrageous their daily lives are. The second episode, "The Triplets Can't Stop," depicts the chaos the triplets cause at school, and their energetic behavior will have you laughing. The third episode, "Lots of Suspicious People," comically depicts their interactions with the suspicious people who show up at school.

One particularly memorable episode is episode 10, "Becoming a Little Girl." In this episode, the words were obscured and left as "XXX Becoming" on terrestrial TV, and in some regions, "little girl" was replaced with "middle schooler," making it a respectable broadcast code. These kinds of touches only add to the humor in the show.

The voice actors for the characters are also impressive, with Ayahi Takagaki as Mitsuba, Satomi Akesaka as Futaba, and Haruka Tomatsu as Hitoha, all of whom bring out the best in their characters' personalities. The supporting cast is also solid, with Hiro Shimono as Yabe Satoshi and Chiwa Saito as Sugisaki Miku.

The anime was produced by Bridge and directed by Masahiko Ohta. Character design and general animation direction was by Takaharu Okuma, who succeeded in visually expressing the individuality of each character. Music was provided by Yasuhiro Misawa, and the theme songs and insert songs also add to the atmosphere of the work. In particular, the opening theme "Count to Three, Everyone Together!" is memorable for the triplets' energetic singing voices, and really represents the flavor of the anime.

"Mitsudomoe" is a highly accomplished short comedy that not only provides laughs to viewers, but also depicts the growth of the characters and changes in their relationships. In particular, the love between the triplets and their friends resonates with viewers. Furthermore, the humor and energetic atmosphere throughout the work never bores you.

Related works include "Mitsudomoe Increase!" and "Mitsudomoe Special Edition," and by enjoying these works together, you can gain a deeper understanding of the world of "Mitsudomoe." "Mitsudomoe" is a work that will make you laugh and feel moved at the same time, and is an anime that I hope many people will watch.

Recommendation

"Mitsudomoe" is especially recommended for those who like short comedies and those who like unique characters. You can also enjoy it even more by watching it with your family and friends. The humor and energetic atmosphere of the anime are sure to bring a smile to the viewers' faces. Please try experiencing the outrageous daily life of the Marui triplets.
