It doesn't look like Sony is currently developing a movie or TV series based on God of War. Although Sony currently has a large number of film and television dramas adapted from its own game IPs, such as "The Last of Us", "Uncharted", "Ghost of Tsushima", and "Chariots of Fire", "God of War" is not a game that Sony intends to move to the big screen in recent years. The New York Times reported: "Contrary to speculation, one game that is not in development (at least not anytime soon), according to a Sony spokesman, is God of War." The above statement does not mean that there will never be a God of War movie, but it just means that there will be no God of War movie in the short term, so it is not ruled out that Sony will make one in the future. If the word-of-mouth response to The Last of Us HBO series and Uncharted movie is good, then Sony is likely to give the green light to more game IP adaptations. |
