IGN rating: 6 points average

Zack Snyder's Las Vegas zombie heist movie Army of the Dead offers some intriguing ideas, but it doesn't quite take the cake.

IGN's overall review:

Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead might look cool on the surface, and draw you in with its twist on the zombie story, but it quickly turns into just another zombie movie with disposable, forgettable characters. While it does some interesting things with the zombie genre that we haven't seen since George Andrew Romero in the 1990s, Army of the Dead ultimately gets bogged down by its own conceit and forgets to have fun. The opening sequence is much better than the rest of the film.
