The director of "Alien: Predator" wants to make a new "Alien vs. Predator"

According to Deadline, Alien: Reaper director Fede Alvarez wants to team up with Predator: Prey director Dan Tratchenberg to make a new Alien vs. Predator (AvP) movie.

The movie "Alien vs. Predator" was released in 2004. It was directed and written by Paul Anderson, the director of the "Resident Evil" series, and distributed by 20th Century Fox. This film is a crossover work, which puts the fictional creatures from the two series of "Alien" and "Predator" together. This idea comes from the comic book of the same name in 1989. In terms of plot, it is a prequel to the "Alien" series.

Alien vs. Predator had a budget of only $60 million, but earned more than $170 million at the global box office. In 2007, the sequel Alien vs. Predator 2 was released.

It is worth mentioning that the well-known director James Cameron revealed that there was originally an "Alien 5" movie, directed by Ridley Scott and written by Cameron, but the distributor Fox chose to produce "Alien vs. Predator". Cameron believed that this would ruin the series, so he also lost interest in making another "Alien" movie.
