Netflix animation "Samurai Yasuke" new Chinese trailer released, airing on April 29

Today (April 2), Netflix officially announced that the animation "Samurai Yasuke" is expected to be broadcast on April 29, 2021. At the same time, a visual image and a new trailer were released. The protagonist was once a slave and now a samurai. This April, witness the embodiment of honor.

The animation "Samurai Yasuke" is produced by MAPPA, with LeSean Thomas as the producer, and Lakeith Stanfield ("Atlanta", "Get Out") as the voice of Japan's only black Samurai Yasuke.

"Samurai Yasuke" is based on the legendary black samurai Yasuke in Japanese history. Yasuke was not the only African black person to arrive in Japan during the Warring States Period, but he was the only black samurai who was loved by Oda Nobunaga.
