TVB veteran actor Liao Qizhi suffers from stomach cancer and has won two Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actor

Recently, Hong Kong's entertainment industry has been hit by bad news. Wu Mengda, "Uncle Tat", has just passed away, and TVB's famous veteran actor Liao Qizhi has been reported to have stomach cancer. I don't know if it is related to the impact of the epidemic that has caused the Hong Kong entertainment market to deteriorate. Cancer has frequently befallen many famous artists, and veteran actors have become the hardest hit.

On the evening of March 22, according to Hong Kong media reports, veteran actor Liao Qizhi, who has won two Academy Award winners for Best Supporting Actor, has unfortunately been diagnosed with stomach cancer. He currently needs to stop working completely and be hospitalized for treatment.

When Liao Qizhi was interviewed, he neither denied the rumors that he had stomach cancer nor admitted it . However, I believe everyone knows the answer. If not, he would definitely deny it directly, which is equivalent to tacitly acknowledging it.

It is reported that Liao Qizhi's condition was once very serious and reached the critical stage. Fortunately, he received careful care from medical staff and his wife and finally overcame the difficulties. When he was interviewed, he was still very optimistic and expressed confidence that he would get better.

Regarding whether he had stomach cancer, Liao Qizhi later responded to the reporter via text message.

"Thank you for your concern. I am old and my machine is broken. I am indeed feeling unwell, so I need to repair it as soon as possible. In order to protect my body and not delay the progress of the crew, I have informed the crew that I cannot cooperate this time. Now I will concentrate on conditioning my body. Health is the most precious thing."

Later, Liao Qizhi also mentioned that he just wanted to rest now, and too many greetings had become a burden.

Liao Qizhi has been playing supporting roles for 41 years and has dabbled in almost all types of roles. In the movie "Wushuang", he was once again nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his wonderful performance.

I hope Liao Qizhi will recover soon and bring more wonderful works to the audience after he recovers.
